  1. STEP 1. Start by plugging the Linksys extender into an electrical socket.

  2. STEP 2. Now, push and hold the WPS button on your Linksys range extender.

  3. STEP 3. When you see the network status XXXX network, notice the LED bulb n your extender.

  4. STEP 4. So, when the power LED bulb is lit this implies the extender is establishing a connection with the wifi router network.

  5. STEP 6. After some time, the LED bulbs will turn solid green.

  6. STEP 7. In case your Linksys extender has dual-band frequency, repeat the above-stated steps again.

  7. STEP 8. This completes your wifi extender setup.

Unfortunately, not all wifi extenders and wifi routers have a WPS push-button on them. So you can use WPS Pin or router’s pin to set up your Linksys Wifi Range Extender;


  1. Via WPS Pin;

  • STEP 1. Open the default internet browser on your PC system.

  • STEP 2. Launch the Linksys extender setup page.

  • STEP 3. On the web setup page, type the WPS pin of your range extender in the second slot.


  1. Via router’s pin;

  • STEP 1. Open the preferred internet browser on your PC system.

  • STEP 2. To proceed, launch the web page, extender.linksys.setup.

  • STEP 3. Enter the router pin in the third field if you have it. 

  • STEP 4. Press the enter key afterward.

  • STEP 5. Now, check the WPS bulb, if it is stable then our connection is made properly.
